Local art programs in the Omaha area are an important part of the community and Joel Schlessinger continues to support these groups with his recent donation to the Acappella Omaha Chorus, a musical group for women in Omaha. The Acappella Omaha Chorus is a chapter of Sweet Adelines International. This non-profit organization is based in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and includes 30,000 chorus and quartet members worldwide. Women of all ages and backgrounds can join this organization for the opportunity to sing, dance and perform with a community of other female artists.

Acappella Omaha Chorus brings the goals and values of Sweet Adelines International to the Omaha area. With over forty singers from the community, this group travels to national competitions and puts on events for the residents of Omaha. While performing, the group promotes music education and strives to provide its members with new skills and abilities.

Joel Schlessinger’s donation allows the group to put on shows for the Omaha community.

In the fall, the Acappella Omaha Chorus performed “Wish Upon a Star.” During this program, the group performed a number of Hollywood favorites and members portrayed famous characters from shows such as “The Wizard of Oz,” “Mary Poppins,” “Mamma Mia!” and “South Pacific.” Donations made by Joel Schlessinger and others help the group promote their performances, cover travel expenses and bring on new members.

Joel Schlessinger supports Mount Michael's Night of Knights fundraiser

To help make the 25th annual Night of Knights fundraiser for Mount Michael Benedictine School a success, Joel Schlessinger donated a free SilkPeel treatment for the silent auction. This fundraiser will raise money for the school and all proceeds will help them continue to provide academic excellence for their students.

Donations from Joel Schlessinger and others provide support for this National Blue Ribbon School.

Mount Michael Benedictine School is an all-boys college preparatory school in the Omaha area that is committed to shaping well-rounded individuals. The school was recognized by the U.S. Department of Education as a National Blue Ribbon School. This distinction is awarded to institutions that exceed academic expectations.

The Night of Knights, which occurs on Saturday, March 29, is an annual event that serves as the primary fundraiser for the school. The event includes a dinner, auction and raffle during which gifts and services are given to participants. All of the proceeds from the drawings and auction go toward the school’s operating budget.

The SilkPeel donated by Joel Schlessinger will serve as a gift for the Night of Knights auction.

A SilkPeel procedure combats signs of aging and damage by exfoliating and renewing the complexion. This rejuvenating treatment will be given away as part of the Night of Knights auction. This donation is one way that Joel Schlessinger continues to support education in the Omaha area. He is dedicated to supporting organizations that help develop educated and community-oriented students.
