A group of LovelySkin employees recently volunteered their time to repaint the hallways at the Siena/Francis House. A fresh coat of paint helped freshen up the building to make it feel more like home to the individuals and families who visit the shelter.

Volunteering at the Siena/Francis House like LovelySkin employees did makes a difference at the shelter.

The Siena/Francis House is Nebraska’s largest shelter, providing food, clothing and lodging for homeless individuals and families from Omaha and surrounding communities. The organization hosted nearly 3,600 people last year. The volunteers from LovelySkin helped keep the Siena/Francis House in tip-top shape for its many visitors.

The Siena/Francis House depends on help from volunteers like the LovelySkin team.

Since its opening in 1975, the Siena/Francis House has continued its mission to feed the hungry, shelter the homeless and clothe the needy throughout the greater Omaha community. The organization has an open door policy, meaning the shelter never turns away a person in need regardless of the circumstances that brought him or her to the Siena/Francis House. The shelter also houses a chemical addictions treatment center, a day services center, an employment training program and a medical clinic.

In order to continue its numerous outreach programs, the Siena/Francis House relies on the help and support of volunteers. Without their generosity, many of Omaha’s homeless would go unserved.
