Joel Schlessinger and family donates to Urban Arts PartnershipPosted by in Community
Joel Schlessinger and his family recently made a large donation to the Urban Arts Partnership. This organization “advances the intellectual, social and artistic development of underserved public school students through arts-integrated education programs to close the achievement gap.”
Joel Schlessinger and his family are strong supporters of the arts. Through this donation to the Urban Arts Partnership, many children will be able to attend after-school programs, master classes, summer programs, arts festivals and other special projects.
The organization teaches students a variety of arts including filmmaking, digital music, photography, theater, design, visual arts, dance and language arts.
With this donation from Joel Schlessinger and his family, over 12,000 students will be empowered with arts-integrated educational programs. Since the beginning of 2012, the Urban Arts Partnership has moved into a new office, launched programming in Los Angeles and opened the first Peapod Adobe Youth Voices Academy in New York City.
