Joel Schlessinger and his wife donate to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of NebraskaPosted by in Community
Joel Schlessinger and his wife, Nancy, recently made a donation to the Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska. Their donation made in memory of Donald Janke, will go to help children with life-threatening illnesses experience one of their most hoped-for wishes.
Donald Janke was one of Dr. Joel Schlessinger’s favorite patients. Joel Schlessinger says he was “a great guy.”
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of Nebraska plans the specific wishes of children across Nebraska. Each wish is designed especially for each child. The event extends farther past just the wish – it also involves the anticipation, planning and memories for the family.
Donations like the one made by the Schlessinger family go to children like Payton, a 3-year old who has been diagnosed with Leukemia. Her favorite story is Green Eggs and Ham and she loves to play with Legos. Her wish is to ride in a train to go fishing with her grandfather.
