Joel Schlessinger MD supports Omaha Burke High School bandPosted by in Community
Joel Schlessinger MD recently donated a gift certificate for a free SilkPeel treatment to benefit the Omaha Burke band. Students in the Burke band perform at numerous school events, community functions and marching competitions each year. The sixth annual Burke Band Benefit Dance and Auction will be held at the Regency Marriott Ballroom this Sunday, March 10, from 2:30 to 5:30 p.m.
This donation made by Joel Schlessinger MD will support the band program’s future endeavors.
The SilkPeel treatment donated by Joel Schlessinger MD will be placed in a silent auction along with other contributions from Omaha businesses. Aside from a silent auction, the event will also feature performances from Burke jazz bands joined by students from local middle and elementary school bands. Attendees can take part in free swing dance lessons provided by professional dancer Dan Wondra.
Tickets for the dance and auction, which will be available at the door, are $7 for adults, $3 for students and $17 for a family pack. Children under 5 years of age are free. All proceeds collected from the event will go to support the band program for festival and marching competitions, instrument repair and purchase, uniform maintenance and other performance expenses.
