On August 2, UPS Omaha sponsored a charity golf event with all proceeds going to United Way. Joel Schlessinger sponsored a hole on the golf course during the event. He and his staff also donated 100 goodie bags, which were handed out to tournament participants. Each goodie bag contained a spa coupon and sunscreen samples from LovelySkin.

United Way of the Midlands is a nonprofit organization that supports health and human service programs across Omaha, Council Bluffs and Bellevue. The organization believes that all people deserve a quality education, a stable job, good health and a steady income to support their family through retirement.
